Tulip Tequila Sunrise

Technical Specifications of Tequila Sunrise

The Tequila Sunrise tulip, categorized under the Triumph class, is engineered for structural integrity and precise bloom geometry. Unlike early-flowering varieties, this hybrid features thickened petal cell walls, a critical factor for resisting lodging in fluctuating greenhouse conditions and ensuring high post-harvest durability.

Agronomic Profile and Developmental Dynamics

• Blooming Schedule: Classified as a mid-season bloomer, Tequila Sunrise serves as a strategic bridge in production cycles, effectively filling the gap between early forcing and late-flowering double varieties.
• Stem Morphology: The plant maintains an average height that balances root system vigor with above-ground biomass. This prevents the redirection of energy towards excessive stem elongation, ensuring nutrient resources are concentrated in the bloom.
• Coloration Technology: The vibrant yellow-to-red gradient is achieved through high concentrations of specific anthocyanins and carotenoids. This pigmentation density is resistant to light degradation, allowing the flower to retain its intense coloring even under suboptimal lighting conditions.

For professional cultivation, adherence to pre-emergence cooling protocols is essential. Tequila Sunrise demonstrates notable resistance to viral pathogens common to the Triumph group, provided that standard phytosanitary measures are followed. When combined with consistent fungicide protocols, the variety offers high yields of uniform, market-grade tulips.
