Tulip Tender Beauty

A Focus on Contrast: Why Tender Beauty Outperforms Its Peers

In a segment of Darwin Hybrid tulips traditionally dominated by solid colors, Tender Beauty stands out with its bold, dual-tone palette. This variety is a true find for landscape designers creating early spring displays. Unlike many members of its class that tend to fade under the harsh March sun, this tulip maintains its vibrant red-and-white gradient until the very end of the blooming cycle.

Agronomic Strengths

The core appeal of Tender Beauty lies not only in its aesthetics but also in its impressive resilience. Breeders have achieved significant immunity to diseases that often plague early-season crops:

• Powdery mildew is no longer a threat to bud density.
• Resistance to Cladosporium allows for cultivation in high-humidity regions without sacrificing decorative quality.
• Protection against tomato mosaic virus minimizes risks when planted near vegetable plots in home gardens.

Who Is This Variety For?

Its medium stem height makes it highly versatile, looking equally impressive in the foreground of borders or as a professional cut flower. If you are looking for a tulip that requires minimal fungicide intervention while delivering a striking visual impact early in the season, this is an ideal choice. A practical note: due to its early blooming period, the variety is sensitive to sudden frosts, so mulching is recommended for open-field planting.
