Tulip Lilystar

Elegant classic for professional forcing and landscape design

The 'Lilistar' tulip belongs to the lily-flowered group, prized for its graceful bud shape with reflexed petals. Agricultural producers choose this hybrid for its predictability and high ornamental value, making it highly suitable for both cut flower production and mid-tier landscape arrangements.

Agrotechnical features and protection

Resistance to key diseases is a primary advantage of 'Lilistar' when planning planting schedules. The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to:

• Sclerotinia (white mold);
• Phomopsis;
• Phoma.

These traits allow for a reduction in fungicide application intensity, which is particularly beneficial in greenhouse conditions or high-density planting scenarios. The medium stem height ensures convenience during transport and standard bouquet assembly.

Practical application and management

The color palette—a striking contrast of red and white—allows 'Lilistar' to be integrated into sophisticated landscape designs, acting as a perfect focal point. As a mid-season flowering variety, it effectively bridges the gap between early and late tulips.

To achieve maximum yield, agronomists recommend maintaining strict drainage, as lily-flowered tulips are sensitive to moisture stagnation in the root zone. During forcing, the variety displays excellent consistency, maintaining petal density and color purity, which is critical for meeting commercial cut-flower quality standards.
