Volemir

Winter triticale variety Volemir, developed by NAAN of Ukraine, features improved physical grain properties. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, ensuring successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. Volemir exhibits resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, and leaf septoria, and also possesses high resistance to lodging, germination, and shattering.

The grain of variety Volemir has a wheat-type appearance, large and elongated, light pink in color, with a thousand-grain weight of about 57 grams. The plant stem is slender, strong, straw-yellow in color, approximately 120 cm tall, bearing a red ear and awns. Protein content in the grain reaches 9.8%, providing satisfactory baking qualities, making this variety suitable for bread production.

Variety Volemir is distinguished by high yield potential, reaching up to 10.6 tons per hectare, and is utilized in agriculture, food industry, and feed production. Its comprehensive resistance and quality traits make it a profitable choice for agronomic practice, ensuring stable and high-quality harvests.
