Tomato YELLOW NECKLACE

Siberian breeding for your garden

The 'Ozherele Zheltoe' (Yellow Necklace) tomato is a product of extensive breeding work by the Central Siberian Botanical Garden of the RAS. Developed by researchers Yuri Fotev and Sergey Kondakov, this variety was designed to provide amateur gardeners with high-yield, compact plants capable of performing well in challenging climates.

Key performance characteristics

This indeterminate tomato is a star performer in the cherry category. Its growing season from germination to harvest ranges between 100 and 120 days. The primary attraction is its distinctive cluster structure: long, dense trusses loaded with plum-shaped fruits, typically yielding 20–30 tomatoes per cluster with an individual weight of up to 20 grams.

• Shelf life: The fruits possess exceptional durability, with a post-harvest shelf life exceeding 30 days while maintaining their integrity.
• Usage: Thanks to their firm skin and vibrant, dessert-like flavor, these tomatoes are excellent for whole-fruit canning or fresh consumption.
• Cultivation: Given its high vigor, this indeterminate variety requires consistent staking and pruning to ensure proper airflow and optimal fruit development.

The 'Ozherele Zheltoe' has earned a reputation for combining Siberian resilience with ornamental beauty. A mature plant laden with golden, pearl-like fruits is as visually striking as it is productive, making it a reliable choice for both greenhouse and outdoor cultivation.
