Yakhont

The YAHONT tomato variety is a medium-early determinate plant intended for cultivation in garden plots. Plants reach a height of about 1.6 meters, allowing the variety to be grown both in open ground and in greenhouses, where plants can grow taller. The variety was developed by breeder Tatyana Nagle and is the result of crossing lines VT-16 brown and Dwarf DSA, ensuring stability and uniformity of fruit in the third generation.

The fruits of the YAHONT tomato have a round shape and smooth surface. Unripe fruits are light green, while ripe ones develop a rich red hue. Fruit weight varies from 100 to 200 grams, with an average weight of about 120-150 grams. The flesh has a burgundy color and a pleasant sweet taste with a slight acidity, making this variety especially attractive for salad use.

The YAHONT variety is characterized by high yield and stable fruiting, with a commercial yield of up to 369 centners per hectare. Fruits are well-balanced in size and quality, which is important for commercial cultivation and marketing. Due to its flavor qualities and decorative appearance, this tomato is suitable for both personal gardens and collection purposes.
