Tomato SHURUK

A High-Yield Standard for Professionals

The 'Shuruk' tomato hybrid by Seminis (Monsanto) is designed for growers who prioritize large fruit size and market appeal. In today's competitive vegetable market, where every gram impacts profitability, this hybrid stands out for its consistency. Its flat-round shape and fruit weight exceeding 200 grams place it firmly in the premium segment for the fresh market.

Biological Resilience

The core strength of this variety is its genetic resistance to a complex of pathogens that often destroy significant portions of a crop. 'Shuruk' effectively resists Fusarium wilt and late blight, which helps reduce the frequency and cost of fungicide applications. Furthermore, the Seminis breeding program has ensured high resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus and other common viral diseases, making the cultivation cycle more predictable and secure.

Superior Logistics

What sets 'Shuruk' apart from its peers is its exceptional transportability. Despite the large fruit size, the tomatoes possess a firm structure, allowing them to be shipped long distances without losing their marketability. This is an ideal choice for farmers targeting retail chains, where standards for appearance and shelf life are stringent. The deep, vibrant red color remains stable, ensuring customer satisfaction at the point of sale.

Who is this hybrid for?

• Commercial farmers aiming for large-scale supply to retail outlets.
• Agronomists working in regions with high viral pressure.
• Producers who need a variety that delivers a high yield of top-grade, uniform fruit.

While 'Shuruk' is a professional-grade seed material, it remains reliable under proper nutrition and irrigation regimes, rewarding the grower with excellent results.
