Tomato Talica is an early-maturing indeterminate hybrid with a tall plant, reaching about 2 meters in height. The plant is heavily leafed, with the first flower bud forming above the 9th leaf, followed by subsequent flowers after several leaves. For cultivation, seedlings should be sown in early to mid-March, with transplanting in the vegetative stage of the first true leaf, and planting in plastic greenhouses should occur at the end of April or beginning of May, when seedlings are approximately 40 days old. Plant shaping is typically done as a single stem with removal of suckers, although double-stem formation yields higher yields.
The fruits of tomato Talica have a flat-round shape and a vibrant red color without a green spot at the stem attachment. Fruit weight varies from 111 to 200 grams depending on growing conditions and plant shaping. The variety is characterized by prolonged fruiting and is suitable for fresh consumption. Yield is high: 4 to 4.5 kg per plant or 7-9 kg per square meter at standard planting density of 4 plants per m², and with double-stem formation, yield may reach 16-18 kg per m².
Hybrid Talica exhibits high resistance to several diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, Fusarium wilt, blossom end rot, brown spot, bacterial leaf spot, and bacterial wilt. Due to these qualities and adaptability to plastic greenhouse conditions, this variety is recommended for cultivation in both unheated and heated greenhouse complexes, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
