Tomato T 022 2

Optimized Production with T 022 2

The T 022 2 tomato variety, bred by Vasily Ivanovich Blokin-Mechtalin, is a specialized selection designed for high-intensity agricultural operations. With its determinate growth habit, this variety is engineered to meet the demands of large-scale commercial vegetable production, where consistency and high yields per hectare are the primary drivers of profitability.

Strategic Application in Farming

• Industrial Scale Yields: Capable of producing 130–160 tons per hectare, this hybrid is a workhorse for farmers supplying wholesale markets and food processing facilities. Its performance is best realized in systems utilizing drip irrigation and systematic fertigation.
• Operational Efficiency: The determinate nature of the plant minimizes the need for labor-intensive practices like trellising and extensive pruning. This allows agricultural enterprises to focus resources on automated field operations, effectively lowering the cost per ton of produce.
• Supply Chain Reliability: The uniform fruit development and concentrated harvest cycle allow for precise scheduling of collection efforts, which is critical for fulfilling rigid delivery contracts with retailers.

When deploying T 022 2 seeds, the focus must remain on planting density and nutrient management. By adhering to recommended spacing, producers can maximize the hybrid's genetic potential, ensuring that the fruit remains uniform and marketable throughout the entire harvest window.
