Description KAPONET
Tomato Kaponet F1 is an early-maturing semi-determinate hybrid of red-fruited tomato developed by Syngenta. This hybrid features a compact, leafy plant with a strong root system, providing resilience to adverse growing conditions such as cold snaps, insufficient light, and poor soils. Kaponet F1 is easily grown under plastic covers during spring and summer and is suitable for year-round cultivation in glass and plastic greenhouses. The plant forms 7-9 trusses, consistently yielding even under stressful conditions, and is tolerant of varying agronomic practices and climates. The fruits of tomato Kaponet F1 are large, round-oval in shape, uniform in size and weight (200–250 grams). They have a bright red color without green spots or white stems, do not crack, and exhibit high firmness and storability. The flesh is juicy, flavorful, and slightly sweet, making them suitable for fresh sales, processing, and culinary use. Harvesting begins early — the first harvest can be obtained as early as 60 days after transplanting seedlings to their permanent location, with a vegetative period of approximately 90–95 days. The Kaponet F1 hybrid shows high resistance to a broad spectrum of diseases, including verticillium wilt, fusarium, tomato mosaic virus, and cladosporiosis, as well as intermediate resistance to nematodes. Due to these qualities and its ability to retain marketable appearance during transport and storage, tomato Kaponet F1 is a reliable choice for commercial cultivation and marketing. Its stability and versatility make this hybrid popular among vegetable growers seeking a high-quality, resilient crop.
