Tomato MATADOR is a high-yielding medium-early variety intended for cultivation in open ground. The vegetation period ranges from 105 to 115 days, allowing for a stable harvest at optimal times. The plant is strong, determinate, and reaches a height of 70 to 90 cm, making care and harvesting easier.
The fruits of tomato MATADOR are bright red, with round-oval or cylindrical shapes, smooth and glossy skin. They are juicy, firm, with excellent texture and a rich sweet-sour flavor. The weight of one tomato varies from 80 to 150 grams, making them suitable for whole-fruit canning and fresh consumption. The variety is characterized by high yield — up to 6-7 kg per plant or 5-6 kg per square meter.
The variety's key feature is its high resistance to a complex of diseases and stress conditions, including moderate cold tolerance and high drought resistance. The tomatoes are well-kept and transportable, making them attractive for commercial cultivation. It is recommended to grow this variety under plastic coverings and to follow optimal seedling planting dates in March–April, followed by transplanting into the soil in May–June.
