Mei Shuai

Mei Shuai tomato is an early, high-yielding hybrid of pink beef tomatoes, suitable for spring-summer cultivation, as well as for extended cultivation in plastic and glass greenhouses. The ripening period is 60-65 days from transplanting seedlings. The plant is indeterminate, tall, and vigorous, with moderate vegetative activity and medium internode spacing. It forms 4-5 evenly spaced fruits per cluster throughout the entire growing period, ensuring a prolonged fruiting period and high yield even under stress conditions. The hybrid sets fruit well at various temperatures and shows resistance to a wide range of solanaceous diseases, including verticillium and fusarium wilt, tomato mosaic virus, and nematodes, reducing the cost of plant protection.

The fruits of Mei Shuai tomato have a flat-round shape, bright pinkish-red color with a glossy finish, and an attractive appearance without green spots at the stem attachment. Fruit weight ranges from 200 to 300 grams; they are dense, highly resistant to cracking, and have excellent internal structure. Due to their high density, the fruits have good transportability and can be stored for up to two weeks without loss of quality. The tomatoes have exceptional flavor and are suitable for fresh consumption in salads and dishes, as well as for processing into tomato juice, sauces, and pasta.

To achieve an ultra-early harvest, it is recommended to pinch back the plants after the 5th-6th cluster and form clusters with 4-5 fruits. When grown in low greenhouses up to 2 meters, more intensive feeding with potassium and phosphorus salts should be applied to shorten internodes and shift the plant's balance toward reproductive growth.
