Tomato MASHA DOLL

A Reliable Choice for Pink Tomato Production

The «Kukla Masha» tomato from the Sedek brand is a strategic choice for growers prioritizing fruit size and marketability in the pink tomato segment. As a determinate hybrid, it is perfectly suited for both open-field cultivation and low-tunnel production, offering a compact growth habit that simplifies daily management and training.

Disease Resistance and Farm Efficiency

A key requirement for modern commercial production is minimizing crop losses due to pathogens. «Kukla Masha» is bred with built-in resistance to common diseases that frequently impact yield, including:

• Alternaria (Early Blight);
• Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV);
• Cladosporium (Leaf Mold).

This genetic resistance helps growers reduce the frequency of fungicide applications, making it an excellent candidate for integrated pest management (IPM) practices and sustainable production systems.

Harvesting and Market Performance

With a maturity cycle of 100–120 days, this hybrid offers a predictable harvest window. The fruit features a flat-round shape and consistently exceeds 200 grams, providing the size needed for premium market presentation. The pink flesh is firm and fleshy, ensuring that the fruit maintains its shape during transit, a vital factor for farmers supplying retail markets where visual appeal is paramount.

In terms of practical management, farmers should prioritize consistent irrigation and nutrient balance during the heavy fruiting stage. Providing sufficient potassium and calcium during the development phase is essential to supporting the plant’s high yield potential and ensuring uniform ripening of the large, pink fruits.
