Tomato Marshal

Focus on Large Fruits and Plant Immunity

The «Marshal» tomato by Agrofirma Poisk is a solution for farms focused on the fresh vegetable market, where visual appeal and shelf life are critical. As an indeterminate variety, it allows for efficient greenhouse space management, creating robust plants with high yield potential — up to 190 tons per hectare under optimal cultivation conditions.

Cultivation Scenarios

A key operational task with «Marshal» is managing cluster development. With individual fruit weights exceeding 200 grams, proper trellising and pruning are essential to maintain the flat-round shape and deep red color. The 100–120 day maturity period classifies this hybrid as mid-season, enabling well-planned consecutive supply throughout the season.

Protection and Logistics

A major advantage of the «Marshal» is its resilience against a complex of viral diseases, including Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), and high tolerance to late blight. This significantly reduces the need for fungicide applications, which is vital during periods of high disease pressure. The dense structure of the fruit ensures excellent transportability, allowing the produce to maintain its quality over long distances and shelf life exceeding 30 days without compromising flavor.
