Tomato Karat

Stable Yield in Changing Conditions

The «Karat» tomato from NVP Agrovnedra is a choice for those who rely on time-tested breeding. This variety performs consistently in the climate of Ukraine, showing predictable results regardless of the season. Unlike many modern hybrids that require greenhouse conditions, this tomato is designed for open-field cultivation and is adapted to the region's typical temperature fluctuations.

Agronomic Profile

With a ripening period of 100–120 days, «Karat» is classified as a mid-season variety. For farmers, this means an extended harvest window. The round, classic red fruit makes it a versatile choice for both the fresh market and processing. A key advantage is the fruit's firmness: excellent transportability allows produce to reach retail chains without losing its commercial appearance.

Pros and Characteristics

• Transportability: The fruits are resistant to cracking during transit, which is rare for varieties with these specific taste qualities.
• Shelf Life: Maintaining consumer quality for up to 10 days post-harvest simplifies logistics and sales.
• Cultivation Tips: Like any variety, «Karat» requires proper agrotechnical practices. To unlock its full yield potential, it is essential to provide timely irrigation and basic nutrition, as the variety responds positively to diligent care.

«Karat» is optimal for small farms and private growers looking for a balance between low-maintenance cultivation and a high-quality end product that can withstand market competition.
