This variety is ideal for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and can produce a good yield even under short and cold summers. Plants reach a height of 1–1.2 meters and feature a robust structure with thick, knotted stems resembling the De Barao type. For successful cultivation, use light, fertile soils with good aeration, and perform regular watering, fertilization with complex fertilizers, loosening, weeding, staking, and pinching.
Tomato 'Gypsy' fruits are round and weigh between 100 to 180 grams. They stand out for their exotic coloring — rose-chocolate with dark burgundy tones, giving them an eye-catching appearance. The flesh is dense, meaty, juicy, and sweet, making them especially appealing for fresh consumption. Thanks to the presence of purple pigments called anthocyanins, which have powerful antioxidant properties, these tomatoes are not only delicious but also beneficial, surpassing traditional red varieties in nutritional value.
The 'Gypsy' variety shows good resistance to major tomato diseases, simplifying care and increasing yield reliability. Yield can reach up to 12 kg per square meter, making this variety profitable for cultivation both in home gardens and commercial greenhouses.
