GOLD OF KUBAN

Tomato Gold of Kuban is a medium-early determinate variety suitable for cultivation both in open fields and greenhouses. The plant forms a compact bush reaching 90 to 150 centimeters in height, requiring staking and pinching for optimal growth. Leaves are medium-sized, light green, and inflorescences are simple. The first flower appears above the eighth leaf, followed by subsequent flowers every one to two leaves. The period from germination to maturity is approximately 105-110 days. Fruits are large, weighing from 213 to 400 grams, and with proper flower setting, can reach up to 800 grams. Fruit shape varies: the first, largest fruits are flat-round, while subsequent ones are heart-shaped. Fruit skin is smooth with slight ribbing, and the color of ripe tomatoes is bright yellow or orange. Flesh is juicy, containing 3-4 seed chambers and a moderate amount of dry matter. Flavor qualities are diverse: ranging from honey-sweet with fruity and grape notes to mild acidity with citrus aroma. Tomatoes are ideal for fresh salads, juice production, and children’s and dietary nutrition. The variety is characterized by high yield and resistance to major solanaceous diseases as well as adverse weather conditions. Marketable yield reaches 310-492 centners per hectare, with up to 97% quality output. Due to good storability and vibrant color, Gold of Kuban tomatoes are in demand both in household and commercial agriculture. They are suitable for whole-fruit canning and pickling, and the flavor of pickled fruits is rated as excellent.
