Tomato "Candle" is a mid-season determinate variety developed by the Transnistrian Research Institute of Vegetable Crops and Moldovan breeders. The vegetation period ranges from 80 to 127 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is compact, reaching a height of 50-60 cm, making it suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, open fields, and containers. Plants do not require staking, have a strong root system, and are resistant to stress, ensuring adaptation to various weather conditions and high yields.

The fruits of tomato "Candle" are round, smooth, weighing 60-100 grams, with a vibrant red color. They are characterized by excellent taste qualities — juicy and sweet, containing 5-5.4% dry matter, 2.4-2.6% sugars, 21-26 mg% vitamin C, and moderate acidity of 0.4-0.6%. The fruits retain their market appearance for a long time, making this variety popular on the market for both fresh consumption and processing.

The variety is highly resistant to diseases such as alternaria, gray mold, and fusarium, reducing the need for intensive plant protection. Yield reaches 80-100 tons per hectare with a prolonged harvest period and uniform fruiting. Tomato "Candle" is suitable for cultivation under various conditions — in open ground, greenhouses, and greenhouses — and is used for producing concentrated tomato products, canning, pickling, and salting.
