Description
Chinese Lantern is a mid-season tomato variety characterized by a tall plant that requires mandatory staking and pruning for proper growth and fruiting. The maturity period is approximately 110-115 days from germination, making this variety suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. The plant forms clusters with up to seven fruits, contributing to good yield.
The fruits of this variety have a round shape and weigh up to 100 grams. Their surface is smooth and glossy, and their coloration is distinctive: unripe fruits have a greenish hue with purple streaks, while ripe fruits turn orange with brown-purple stripes, giving them an attractive multicolored appearance. The fruits are not prone to cracking, which facilitates their transport and storage.
In addition to their decorative appeal, the fruits have a pleasant taste, ideal for fresh vegetable salads and adding variety to the diet. Due to their characteristics, the Chinese Lantern variety is a versatile choice for gardeners seeking high-quality, attractive tomatoes with good yield.
