Tomato Castelliano — a medium-early indeterminate hybrid, intended for greenhouse cultivation. The plant is tall, reaching up to 2 meters in height, requiring staking and pinching. It is recommended to form the bush into one or two stems for optimal growth. The first truss forms above the 8th-9th leaf, subsequent trusses form every 2-3 leaves, ensuring even fruiting throughout the season.
The fruits of tomato Castelliano are flat-round, medium-ribbed, weighing from 150 to 300 grams, with a bright red color when ripe. They feature a dense skin that is resistant to cracking, a fleshy texture, and excellent flavor with a slight acidity. Such tomatoes are suitable for both fresh consumption, such as in early salads, and for processing.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases, including bronze virus, tomato mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, Fusarium wilt (first and second races), verticillium wilt, and gall nematode. With proper agronomy, yields exceed 25 kg per square meter or more than 5 kg per plant. The compact plant form and medium internodes allow efficient use of planting space, making Castelliano an excellent choice for obtaining a stable and high-quality harvest.
