BLACK VERNISSAGE

Tomato Black Vernissage is a tall indeterminate mid-early maturing variety suitable for cultivation both in open ground and greenhouses. The plant is strong, bushy, reaching up to two meters in height and requires staking and pinching. For optimal yield, it is recommended to form the plant into 2-3 stems and leave 8-10 flower clusters. The bush is heavily leafed and can produce up to 15 kilograms of fruit per plant. The variety is resistant to diseases such as fusarium wilt and cladosporiosis. The fruit of Tomato Black Vernissage has a round, even shape and features an unusual coloration: reddish-brown with green streaks and stripes, giving them a unique pattern. The weight of each fruit ranges from 40 to 110 grams, significantly larger than cherry tomatoes. The fruit skin is dense and resistant to cracking, ensuring good transportability and storage quality. The flesh is juicy, tender, and rich in sugar, with a delicate tomato aroma and pleasant notes, sometimes with a slight acidity. Tomato Black Vernissage is versatile in use: its fruits are excellent for fresh consumption, salads, sauces, and home preservation. Thanks to their dense skin and attractive coloration, they look appealing in jars and can be used for drying during winter. The variety was developed by crossing the 'Stupitsky' and Chinese velvet tomato varieties, followed by selection based on color palette, which provided it with unique taste and external qualities.
