Tomato CYLINDRA MALINOVAYA

Stability and Shape: The Secret Behind Tsilindra Malinovaya

The "Tsilindra Malinovaya" variety from SDK-SIDS is a go-to choice for producers prioritizing efficiency and marketability. Within the semi-determinate tomato segment, this variety stands out for its reliability: with proper agrotechnology, it yields a steady 70–100 tons per hectare, making it a highly attractive option for commercial cultivation.

Fruit Characteristics and Growing Tips

• Shape and Structure: The elongated cylindrical shape, combined with dense flesh, makes these tomatoes ideal for whole-fruit canning. They do not crack during heat treatment and maintain their shape perfectly in jars.
• Weight and Maturity: Fruits weighing 150–200 grams are optimal for the fresh produce market and tray packaging. The growing period of 100–120 days allows for flexible harvesting schedules, suiting both summer and autumn market demands.
• Transportability: A key advantage of this variety is the high density of the skin and pulp. This minimizes logistical losses, which is critical for long-distance shipping.

Who is this variety for?

"Tsilindra Malinovaya" is a workhorse for farms oriented toward retail chains. Its pink color is traditionally highly valued by consumers for its dessert-like flavor and low acidity. However, it is important to note that the semi-determinate plant type requires regular pruning and staking. Without controlling side shoots, yields can drop, and fruit size may decrease. While this is not a "plant and forget" variety, it fully justifies the labor costs through its excellent uniformity and high market quality.
