Tomato BEREZINA

Stable Classics from VNIIISSOK

The 'Berezina' variety is the result of extensive breeding work by specialists at the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Breeding and Seed Production (VNIIISSOK). Unlike modern early-maturing hybrids focused on rapid turnover, this model is a mid-to-late maturing indeterminate tomato. It requires precision in agrotechnics but rewards growers with a consistent and high-quality yield.

Potential and Technical Specifications

This variety belongs to the category of professional seed material intended for protected ground cultivation. The vegetation period spans 120–130 days, defining it as a crop for long-cycle production systems.

• Plant type: Indeterminate, requiring mandatory pruning and bush formation.
• Fruit characteristics: Flattened-round shape, bright red color, with a weight exceeding 200 grams.
• Yield: When adhering to cultivation protocols, yields can reach over 190 tons per hectare, making it a competitive choice for commercial greenhouses.

Berezina maintains resistance to a range of diseases common in closed-ground environments, a critical factor for large-scale farms aiming to reduce pesticide application. The flavor profile meets classic salad tomato standards, ensuring consistent demand in the fresh produce segment.
