Tomato BELGORODSKY

Technical Specifications and Cultivation Profile

The «Belgorodsky» tomato variety, developed by NPO «Sad i Ogorod», is an indeterminate cultivar engineered for heavy-duty production. Its indeterminate habit requires rigorous canopy management, making it an excellent candidate for long-season greenhouse operations where vertical space can be leveraged for maximum yield density.

Key Botanical Data

• Maturation Cycle: With a 90–100 day timeframe from germination to harvest, it sits firmly in the early-season category, mitigating risks associated with late-season pathogens.
• Fruit Morphology: The variety produces uniform, round fruits consistently weighing over 200 grams. This size-to-mass ratio is optimal for fresh-market sales where uniform grading is required.
• Plant Architecture: The indeterminate nature of the plant necessitates a single or double-stem training system. This structural choice is essential for managing light interception and improving airflow, which in turn reduces the incidence of physiological disorders and fungal infections.

The pedigree established by NPO «Sad i Ogorod» focuses on high-performance potential. When provided with a balanced nutrient regime and precise irrigation management, the «Belgorodsky» variety demonstrates a high conversion rate of vegetative energy into reproductive yield. Its structural integrity ensures that even with large fruit weights, the plant maintains a consistent supply chain quality.
