Tomato Bananчик represents a group of varieties with unique elongated fruits resembling bananas in shape. The varieties differ in ripening time, color, and plant characteristics. Bananчик Red — a semi-determinate, medium-height, spreading variety requiring staking and regular care. It matures in 90-95 days and yields up to 10-11 kg per square meter. Fruits are oval, 6–10 cm long, bright red, with a dense skin and juicy flesh, possessing a sweet-tart flavor. They are excellent for culinary use, pickling, and drying.
Bananчик Orange — a low-growing, determinate, and early-maturing variety that will delight those wishing to harvest as early as possible. Plants are elegant with slender stems, requiring no pruning but better suited for staking for convenience. Fruits are bright orange, elongated, weighing around 80 g, two-chambered, sweet, and juicy. They are suitable for canning and recommended for children’s and dietetic diets due to their taste and juiciness. This variety is resistant to phytophthora and tolerates both heat and low temperatures.
There is also a medium-early variety with tall plants up to 2 meters and very long fruits up to 20 cm, weighing 150–200 g. Fruits are orange, curved, very sweet, and dense, with elevated vitamin C content. They remain fresh for a long time without over-ripening, allowing harvests of up to 15 kg per plant. All Bananчик varieties are characterized by high productivity, low maintenance requirements, and good disease resistance, making them ideal for cultivation in open ground and under cover.
