The Teff variety 'Manya' is characterized by a medium maturity period – it takes 66‑74 days from booting to full ripening, while the total vegetation period is 100‑120 days. The plant reaches a height of about 120 cm and is characterized by a thin, flexible stem. Tilling is moderate, with productive bushiness ranging from 4 to 7 plants per square meter.
The grain of the 'Manya' variety is small, elongated, yellowish-white in color, and shatters easily. The mass of 1000 grains is approximately 0.4 g. The grain contains up to 13% protein, as well as high levels of calcium, iron, and other minerals, making it a valuable source of nutrients.
Yield reaches 23 c/ha in grain form and 50 c/ha of green mass. The variety is resistant to rusts, bunt, and fusarium, but can be affected by aphids and cereal fly. Requires good moisture supply and is not frost resistant. Suitable for cultivation in all regions of the country, including northern, central, Viatka, black earth, Caucasian, Middle Volga, Ural, Siberian, and Far Eastern regions.
The variety 'Manya' is included in the state register for all zones of crop cultivation. The originator is LLC 'TEFF'.
