Description Fiona
Fiona is a medium-maturing SH2 type sweet corn hybrid, distinguished by high grain sugar content exceeding 22%. The vegetation period is 68-71 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm and form conical or cylindrical ears longer than 20-22 cm with 14-18 rows of bright yellow kernels. Under favorable conditions, two ears may form per stalk, increasing yield.

The Fiona hybrid exhibits high drought, heat, and stress tolerance, along with good resistance to typical corn diseases. This ensures stable yields and high productivity—up to 30,000 to 40,000 ears per hectare when agronomic practices are followed. High lodging resistance helps preserve crop quality until harvest.

Seeding is recommended at soil temperatures not lower than +12°C at a depth of 2-5 cm, with a seeding rate of 55,000-65,000 seeds per hectare. The hybrid is suitable for fresh market, processing, freezing, and canning. Seeds are treated with comprehensive protection against fungal diseases and modern technologies enhance drought resistance, making Fiona a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.
