Description
The Natali sunflower hybrid represents a mid-ripening, simple hybrid with a vegetative period of 102-104 days. The plant is of medium height, non-branching, with strong pubescence on the upper stem part. Leaves are of medium size, green in color with weak blistering. Flowers are ligulate, narrowly egg-shaped, yellow; tubular flowers are orange, without anthocyanin discoloration of the stigmas. The head is large, turning downwards on a strongly curved stem, with the seed side strongly convex. Seeds are of medium size, narrowly egg-shaped, black with weak gray stripes. Natali is characterized by high yield and oil content. Average seed yield in the North Caucasus region is 18.5 c/ha, and in the Central Volga region — 24.1 c/ha, which exceeds the standard level by 3.2% and 1.7% respectively. Maximum yield indicators were achieved at experimental sites in the Krasnodar Krai and Ulyanovsk Oblast, where yield reached over 32 c/ha. Seed oil content varies from 45.9% to 48%, ensuring oil collection at a level of 8.9–9.2 c/ha. Potential yield can reach 44 c/ha, and oil collection — 2.0 t/ha. The hybrid is resistant to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Central Volga, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. The recommended standing density for harvesting is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, Natali sunflower is widely used for producing high-quality oil and ensures stable yields under various climatic conditions.
