Description YVD 2016
YVD 2016 is a medium-early, two-line hybrid sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) intended for cultivation in the Ural region, particularly in the Orenburg region. Plants are characterized by medium height, absence of branching, and green leaf color. Flowers are ligulate and yellow, with medium flowering time. Seeds have a 1000-seed weight of approximately 53.3 grams, with weakly expressed marginal and intermarginal stripes. The vegetation period is approximately 110 days.

The hybrid exhibits high oil content — oil content in seeds reaches 51.5%, ensuring oil yield of 8.5 centners per hectare. Yield in the Ural region averages 9.6 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 20.4 centners per hectare. In field conditions, YVD 2016 shows good resistance to gray mold, with very low incidence.

YVD 2016 is included in the State Register of Selection Achievements for the Ural region and is recommended for cultivation under the conditions of this region. The hybrid was developed and registered by scientific research institutes of southern and eastern agriculture and oilseed crops, as well as by the company LLC NPP "AgroSemservis". Due to its characteristics and adaptation to regional climatic conditions, YVD 2016 is a reliable choice for sunflower producers targeting high-quality oilseed raw material.
