The YU 932 sunflower hybrid is a simple interline high-oil and early-maturing intensive type variety, created by the Southern-Eastern Scientific Research Institute of Plant Breeding (NIISKh SE) and OOO NPP "Agroservice". It is the result of crossing the sterile line YU 28 and the fertility restorer YU 931. The plants are characterized by a height of 140-160 cm, moderate foliage, and a flat head with a vertical arrangement on the stem. The seeds are large, dark gray with a weakly expressed stripe, and elongated in shape. During germination, cotyledons and leaves have a green coloration without anthocyanin.
Hybrid YU 932 is distinguished by high productivity and good morphological uniformity of plants. Under conditions of the Volga region, it matures in 90-95 days; the mass of 1000 seeds is 76-90 g; hulling content is 21.0-21.8%; oil content is 49.9-52.1%; and natural moisture is 416-420 g. The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew, local races of dodder, and moths, as well as high tolerance to white and gray molds. These qualities ensure a stable and high yield of oilseeds, which in favorable years can reach up to 42 centners per hectare.
YU 932 is well adapted to modern cultivation and processing technologies, making it economically beneficial for agricultural production. In competitive trials, the hybrid's yield averaged 25.7 centners per hectare, confirming its competitiveness. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and adaptation to regional conditions, hybrid YU 932 is a reliable choice for cultivation in the Volga region and other regions with similar climatic conditions.
