FS 702 is an inbred line of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) included in the State Register for the Russian Federation for all regions of crop cultivation. Trichomes on the stem in the upper part are sparse. Flowering time is average, ligule flowers are narrowly oval-shaped, long and yellow, tubular flowers are orange, without anthocyanin discoloration of the styles. The head of the plant is of medium size, turned downwards with a curved stem, the seed side is weakly convex. The seed is from medium to large, narrowly oval-shaped, thick, with a basic black color and strongly expressed marginal stripes and weakly expressed stripes between the edges in gray. This sunflower is distinguished by its resistance to various growing conditions and is suitable for cultivation in a wide range of regions.
