Sunflower Terminator

Stable Yields with Minimal Risk

The "Terminator" sunflower hybrid from the breeders at AF Sady Ukrainy is the choice for those prioritizing intensive cultivation techniques and high oil content. In the Ukrainian climate, this hybrid demonstrates remarkable resistance to diseases, allowing farmers to save on fungicide protection without compromising crop quality.

Key Hybrid Features

• Oil Content: Reaching 50-55%, making it a highly sought-after raw material for processing plants.
• Phytosanitary Barrier: Genetic resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis), phomopsis, and phoma removes a major headache for agronomists in regions with high humidity or high infection risks.
• Morphology: A stalk height of 160-170 cm facilitates harvesting, while the large, narrow-ovoid seeds thresh exceptionally well.

"Terminator" is a mid-season hybrid with a 110-120 day growth cycle. It hits the "sweet spot": the plant manages to accumulate maximum biomass and oil while clearing the field in time for winter crop preparation. Its medium-sized, slightly convex head efficiently retains moisture and resists premature drying, a critical advantage in dry years.

Who is this solution for?

This hybrid is ideal for farms seeking a balance between large seed size and oil yield. If your goal is high marketability at a moderate cost for herbicide and fungicide programs, "Terminator" is a reliable asset. It is forgiving of minor agronomic errors, maintaining productivity where more sensitive imported hybrids would require perfect conditions.
