Tellia sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid with high resistance to various diseases and adverse conditions. It belongs to the mid-early maturity group, maturing in approximately 115 days, allowing effective harvest planning. The hybrid has a strong root system, providing good drought and cold tolerance, as well as resistance to lodging and stress, making it a reliable choice for various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions.

Tellia stands out for its high oil content in seeds — from 51% to 54% — making it attractive for the oil industry. The 1000-seed weight is around 70 grams, indicating seed size and uniformity. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on soil moisture: from 40-45 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture to 50-55 thousand under moderate to sufficient moisture. The hybrid belongs to simple linoleic types, which influence oil quality and composition.

Special attention has been given to Tellia’s disease resistance. The hybrid shows high resistance to diseases such as false powdery mildew, fomosis, fomopsis, various forms of white mold, as well as rust, sclerotinia, and downy mildew. This significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and decreases the need for frequent fungicide applications. Moreover, the hybrid is resistant to races of Sclerotinia A-G, which is important for maintaining crop health and enhancing productivity.
