Sunflower SVETLANA OR

Working with the "Svetlana OR" hybrid

When working with the "Svetlana OR" sunflower hybrid from Agroplazma, you immediately appreciate the predictability of the results. This is a simple hybrid that performs consistently even under less-than-ideal weather conditions.

Technology and protection

The main argument for choosing "Svetlana OR" is its resistance to imidazolinone herbicides (the "Euro-Lightning" system). For those dealing with broomrape or persistent weeds, this solution significantly simplifies field management. Treatment is carried out without causing excessive stress to the crop, which is critical for maintaining its yield potential.

• Early maturity: The 90–100 day vegetation period allows for a comfortable harvest before the onset of prolonged autumn rains.
• Oil content: The 45–50% oil content is consistently confirmed at the elevator, directly impacting the final profitability of the crop.
• Uniformity: The plants are even, which simplifies combine operations—reducing header losses and ensuring smooth intake into the threshing unit.

Growth performance

The hybrid demonstrates excellent growth energy during the initial stages. Given its vegetation period, "Svetlana OR" does not require overly complex fertilization schemes; standard fertilizer application is sufficient to reach the target figures. It is a workhorse for farmers who prefer intensive technologies but want to avoid the risks associated with late-maturing varieties.
