Sunflower R 27 is an extensive mid-early hybrid of linoleic type developed by Syngenta for the Clearfield Plus technology. This hybrid is resistant to herbicides of the imidazolinone group, significantly simplifying weed control, especially against the parasitic plant, burgrass. R 27 exhibits high heat and drought tolerance, making it the optimal choice for cultivation in arid areas of the southern steppe zone. Plant height at flowering reaches 140–160 cm, promoting intensive pollination and yield formation. Mature seeds contain 47–49% high-quality oil, and yields under favorable conditions reach 27.0–29.5 centners per hectare, with oil extraction of 4.5–6.1 centners per hectare. For sowing, fertile soils are recommended, but the hybrid demonstrates good germination even on low-fertility soils. During early vegetation, R 27 exhibits rapid growth, facilitating successful plant development. The Clearfield Plus technology involves the use of the potent herbicide Euro Lightning Plus, ensuring effective protection of crops from weeds and enhancing yield stability. Due to these features, the hybrid is widely used in production systems oriented toward high productivity and resilience to adverse conditions. Special attention is given to seed treatment and preparation for sowing when cultivating sunflower R 27. To improve the quality of sowing material, special paints for coating and marking seeds are used, which do not contain synthetic polymers or acrylic dispersions. These paints are easily diluted with water, do not cause seed clumping, and do not hinder gas and moisture exchange, positively affecting germination and plant development. Moreover, they are eco-friendly and do not harm the soil, making seed preparation safe and efficient.
