The hybrid sunflower STATUS is a mid-early oilseed variety developed by hybridization of the maternal line ED 47 and paternal line ED 193. Plants reach an average height of about 140 cm, exhibit uniformity in height and developmental phases, ensuring even maturation. The vegetation period varies depending on the region and ranges from 95 to 131 days, allowing the hybrid to be successfully grown in various climatic zones, including the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions.
The hybrid STATUS is characterized by high oil content in seeds, averaging 48-50%, which ensures a high oil yield — up to 1.6 tons per hectare at a potential seed yield of up to 45 centners per hectare. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 60.6 g, and the husk content is 28.7%, indicating good product quality. The optimal plant density at harvest is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes maximum productivity and efficient use of sowing area.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests: it is resistant to seven races of downy mildew (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) and three races of false powdery mildew (330, 710, 730). At the same time, infection by dry and gray mold, as well as downy mildew, is not observed, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. Average resistance to rust is observed in the Lower Volga region. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid STATUS is a reliable choice for cultivation in various agroclimatic conditions with high agrofond.
