SAMURAI is an early sunflower hybrid developed by ООО "SUNFLOWER" and designed for cultivation in various regions of Russia. The vegetative period is 80-85 days, which allows for a quick harvest. Plants reach heights from 140 to 170 cm depending on growing conditions, have green foliage, and weak blistering. Flowers are yellow, branching is absent, and seeds are characterized by weakly expressed marginal and intermediate stripes. The weight of 1000 seeds is about 53.5 g.

The hybrid differs in high yield potential and stability under various climatic conditions. Maximum yield reaches 42.4 c/ha, while average yield is about 22.4 c/ha. Oil content varies from 51% to 53%, ensuring high oil output up to 11.4 c/ha. SAMURAI shows excellent resistance to main sunflower diseases, including phoma, sclerotinia, grey spot, phoma, and white head rot. Moreover, the hybrid is resistant to sunflower rust races A-E and new LM races, and possesses high lodging resistance.

This sunflower hybrid responds well to improved agronomic conditions, allowing agronomists to optimize cultivation and obtain guaranteed stable yields. The recommended plant density at harvest is 55,000-60,000 plants per hectare in well-watered zones and 50,000-55,000 plants per hectare in zones with insufficient moisture.
