Sunflower Optimum is a high-yielding hybrid developed using strong Serbian genetics and adapted for cultivation in southern and eastern regions. This mid-early hybrid with a 110-112 day vegetative period reaches a height of 170-190 cm and possesses a high yield potential up to 5,0 t/h (50 c/h), making it one of the leaders among hybrids intended for Clearfield technology. The recommended sowing density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, and 45-50 thousand in arid conditions. Thousand-seed weight varies from 50 to 58 grams, and oleinicity reaches 48-50%.

The Optimum hybrid is characterized by high resistance to five races of the volunteer weed and tolerance to herbicides Euro-Lightning and its analogues, allowing for crop treatment at the 2-4 leaf stage for effective weed control. Additionally, the sunflower exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including rust, white and grey rot, as well as septoria and phoma, confirmed by high tolerance scores on a 10-point scale.

Optimum seeds undergo comprehensive treatment, including insecticidal and fungicidal protection, as well as enrichment with macro- and micro-elements to ensure successful starting growth and realization of the crop's genetic potential. In particular, fungicidal seed dressings with active substances fludioxonil, metalaxyl-m, and tebuconazole, as well as micronutrient fertilizers and growth stimulants based on plant hormones, are used. Such treatment promotes rapid seed germination even in the absence of moisture, which is especially important for farmers working in arid regions.
