Sunflower PGR 601

A Technological Edge in the Field

French breeding from Lidea is synonymous with stability, and the PGR 601 hybrid is no exception. This sunflower was developed for farms where weed control has shifted from a routine chore to a strategic resource-saving priority. The standout feature of this model is its full adaptability to the EURO-LIGHTNING system, allowing for the radical clearance of even the most stubborn weeds in a single pass.

Why Does PGR 601 Stand Out?

• Superior Cleanliness: Utilizing imidazolinone-based herbicides allows for foliar application without suppressing the crop. This is critical for regions battling broomrape and ragweed.
• French Genetics: Developed by Lidea (Airaines, France), this hybrid is engineered for survival in unpredictable climatic conditions. The plants show excellent uniformity, simplifying harvest and minimizing yield loss.
• Economic Efficiency: The hybrid is designed to reduce mechanical inter-row cultivation costs, delivering a clean field with predictable yields even under minimal maintenance.

Is This the Right Choice for You?

PGR 601 is ideal for farmers in intensive agricultural zones where soil exhaustion and parasitic weed infestation are common. It is a precision tool for those who value time and prefer letting 'smart' chemistry handle weed management. However, as with any Clearfield-system hybrid, strict adherence to herbicide application protocols is necessary to avoid early-stage phytotoxicity.
