Flax AUGUST

The August flax oilseed variety is a mid-season crop with a vegetative period of 88-98 days, possessing high resistance to lodging and shedding. This variety is distinguished by its high oil content in seeds — from 49.8 to 53.3%, which makes it particularly valuable for obtaining high-quality technical flaxseed oil. The seeds are brown, with a mass of 1000 seeds of about 7.9 grams, and the average yield reaches 15.3 centners per hectare in the recommended growing regions. The plant demonstrates good drought resistance, which allows for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including Omsk region and other regions of the Middle Volga and West Siberian districts.

Flax AUGUST is widely used in the production of flaxseed oil, which contains important unsaturated fatty acids for human health, such as oleic, linoleic, linolenic, and isolinolenic. Besides oilseed purposes, flax is used for making fabrics with high hygienic properties, feed, and in the medical industry. The plant is not demanding on moisture and heat, but requires fertile soil to achieve maximum productivity.
