NS H 7736 is a mid-early simple sunflower hybrid with a vegetation period of 103-105 days, developed by the Institute of Horticulture and Vegetable Growing in Novi Sad (Serbia). The hybrid is characterized by high yield, exceeding 55 centners per hectare, and is suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe, steppe, and southern-steppe zones of Ukraine due to its high resistance to drought and high temperatures. Plant height is 150-170 cm, and the weight of 1000 seeds varies from 60 to 75 g. Oil content in seeds reaches 47-49%, with moisture content within 23-25%. For planting, it is recommended to use classical soil preparation technology with the addition of organic and mineral fertilizers, which significantly increases yield. The hybrid poorly tolerates dense planting, so it is important to observe medium seeding rates to ensure proper plant development during the vegetation period and formation of high-quality high-oil seed material. Mature seeds are firmly held in the husk and rapidly lose moisture, facilitating harvesting. NS H 7736 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases and pests. The hybrid is genetically protected against downy mildew (races A-F+), as well as resistant to phomopsis, phomopsis, alternaria, macrophomina, white mold, false powdery mildew, rust, and sunflower moth. This comprehensive protection allows cultivation with minimal yield losses and reduces the need for intensive chemical protection.
