Sunflower MAG 4220

MAG 4220 is a medium-early sunflower hybrid developed in Russia and intended for agricultural cultivation. It is distinguished by high resistance to diseases, including downy mildew (races A-E), ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Plants of this variety have low height at maturity, and the seeds are black with faint stripes, which is a characteristic feature of the hybrid.

The vegetation period of MAG 4220 ranges from 109 to 117 days depending on the growing region. The 1000-seed mass varies from 58.4 to 75 grams, and the oil content is within 21-23%. The hybrid is high-oil, with oil content in seeds ranging from 44.0% to 50.0%, making it attractive for oil production. Average seed yield reaches 17.2-31.1 centners per hectare, with maximum yield potentially reaching 30.1 centners per hectare.

MAG 4220 is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Chernozem and North Caucasus regions, where it demonstrates good yield and oil content. Its early flowering time and classical agronomic characteristics make this hybrid convenient for integration into agricultural systems. High oil content and disease resistance ensure economic efficiency and product quality.
