Sunflower LG5452HO CL

French breeding for field purity

The LG5452HO CL hybrid by Limagrain is a solution for farmers facing weed pressure and the need to control a wide range of weeds. As a three-line hybrid, it embodies the advanced developments of French breeders, focused on crop stability even under challenging disease pressure conditions.

Agrotechnological features

A key advantage of the LG5452HO CL is its compatibility with the Clearfield production system (the «Euro-Lightning» technology). This enables farmers to effectively control weeds, including the most stubborn varieties, during the crop's vegetative stage without risking damage to the plant itself. The plant, reaching a height of 160–170 cm, forms a large, well-filled head, ensuring high oil potential.

Crop health as a priority

The hybrid's genetic resistance to a complex of dangerous pathogens — including white rot, downy mildew, Phomopsis, and Phoma — makes the LG5452HO CL a predictable choice for large-scale production. Given the changing climate and increasingly aggressive field infections, having built-in «immunity» to key sunflower diseases helps reduce costs associated with fungicide protection.

This hybrid has secured a strong position in the mid-early solutions segment. It is tailored for intensive cultivation, where both weed control and high biological resistance to field diseases are crucial. Choosing the LG5452HO CL is a commitment to clean fields and stable yields by the end of the season.
