The INSUN 355 SU hybrid sunflower is an early-maturing variety developed for conventional cultivation techniques. It is characterized by high resistance to lodging and drought, ensuring stable and high yields even under suboptimal moisture conditions. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on soil moisture levels: 50-55 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 60-65 thousand per hectare under adequate moisture. This hybrid is suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, making it a versatile choice for various regions. INSUN 355 SU exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew (A-G), false powdery mildew, verticillium, fomopsis, and rust, thanks to the presence of genes PL6 and PL9. This comprehensive resistance helps reduce the risk of yield loss and lowers crop protection costs. The high oil content in the seeds makes this hybrid particularly attractive for producers targeting high-quality raw materials. Field trial results across various regions of Ukraine demonstrated yields ranging from 26 to 46.6 centners per hectare, confirming its adaptability and effectiveness under different climatic conditions. Thanks to its combination of stress and disease resistance, along with high productivity, INSUN 355 SU is a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high sunflower yields.
