Sunflower Flash

Field Performance: Getting to Know "Flash"

When selecting seeds for challenging climatic zones, hybrids with a short development cycle are often the only way to minimize risks. The "Flash" sunflower hybrid from NPO Galaktika is a perfect example where a 90-100 day growing season gives the grower confidence, regardless of late springs or early autumn rains.

In practice, this hybrid is highly predictable. Due to its vigorous initial growth, the crop quickly closes the canopy, which is essential for weed suppression without relying on excessive herbicide applications.

Economics and Oil Content: Real Results

The main concern for any owner is the yield and the final product quality. "Flash" consistently delivers oil content between 50-55%. This is a strong indicator that directly impacts market pricing. At the elevator, test results for oil percentage often exceed standard benchmarks when proper fertilization protocols are followed.

• Growing Season: Up to 100 days, allowing for efficient planning of planting and harvesting without rush.
• Oil Content: 50-55% makes this hybrid highly attractive for oil processors.
• Agronomics: The hybrid responds well to micronutrient applications, especially during the early head-forming stages.

Managing "Flash" crops does not require complex specialized knowledge; standard farm-level protection programs are perfectly sufficient. The hybrid is not temperamental and shows excellent lodging resistance, allowing combine harvesters to run at comfortable speeds. For those seeking a reliable tool for consistent yields with high oil potential, "Flash" by NPO Galaktika remains one of the most balanced solutions in the mid-range segment.
