Sunflower Dracaris SLR is a medium-maturing hybrid for oilseed production, adapted for cultivation using Clearfield Plus technology. The vegetation period is approximately 110-115 days, during which a stem of 164 to 193 cm in height and a head diameter of 16-17 cm are formed. The 1000-seed mass varies within 66-69 g, and the oil content of the seeds reaches 47-50%. The hybrid demonstrates high plasticity to various climatic conditions, allowing successful cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, as well as under conditions of insufficient and adequate soil moisture.
Dracaris SLR exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew due to the presence of the PL9 gene, Phomopsis, rust, alternaria, and anthracnose. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to 6 major races of downy mildew (peronospora) and shows high tolerance to Clearfield Plus herbicides. Drought and heat resistance are at a high level, ensuring stable productivity even under stress conditions. Resistance to lodging and seed shattering is also high, contributing to yield preservation.
Recommended seeding density depends on soil moisture: under insufficient moisture, the optimal density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare, and under adequate moisture — 60-65 thousand plants per hectare. To enhance drought resistance, deep soil cultivation and application of mineral fertilizers are recommended. The hybrid shows high growth energy in early development stages and nearly complete head formation, which contributes to achieving yields exceeding 33 centners per hectare under favorable conditions and around 22 centners per hectare in drier regions.
