Description BAROLO RO
BAROLO RO is a mid-season sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including arid regions. This variety is characterized by high stress tolerance and yield stability even under unfavorable weather conditions. The plant is tall, with strong stem pubescence in the upper part, while the seeds have an oval-elongated shape and black color, which is characteristic of this hybrid.

The hybrid has a high oil content in the seeds — an average of about 50%, with maximum indicators reaching up to 53.2%. Yield varies depending on the region and growing conditions: in the Central Black Earth region, it reaches an average of 32.9 c/ha, in the Middle Volga region — about 30.6 c/ha, and in the Lower Volga region — 24.7 c/ha. Maximum yield can reach 42 c/ha under optimal conditions. The seed output from one head ranges from 61.3 to 102 g.

BAROLO RO is suitable for Clearfield® technologies and is recommended for minimum and zero tillage technologies. The hybrid is moderately resistant to downy mildew and white rot, but susceptible to Phoma and rust. Rapid moisture release during maturation promotes timely harvest and reduces loss risks. Thanks to its characteristics, this sunflower is a profitable choice for farmers seeking a stable and quality oilseed crop yield.
