Sunflower Arena

Sunflower Arena is a medium-early hybrid of moderate-intensity type developed by Syngenta. It is characterized by high growth energy in early development stages, promoting the formation of a strong and healthy plant. The hybrid features stable yields ranging from 25-30 c/ha and high oil content, reaching up to 50%, making it attractive for producers focused on quality and quantity. Arena belongs to the medium-early maturity group with a vegetation period of 106-115 days, allowing effective planning of planting operations under various climatic conditions.

A distinctive feature of the Arena hybrid is its high resistance to diseases, including root white rot and various rusts (A-E), significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. It adapts well to fertile soils and demonstrates good drought tolerance, allowing cultivation in both Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. Plant height varies from 140 to 170 cm depending on moisture availability, indicating the hybrid's adaptability to various agroclimatic conditions.

To achieve optimal results, classical cultivation technology with moderate use of nitrogen fertilizers is recommended, as the hybrid poorly responds to high doses. Sowing rates depend on regional humidity: in more humid areas, 45-48 thousand plants per hectare are recommended, while in drier regions — 43-45 thousand. Thanks to its combination of high yield, oil content, and disease resistance, sunflower Arena is a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality yields under diverse farming conditions.
