Sunflower A 12

Working with the A 12 sunflower hybrid

When selecting seeds, an agronomist looks beyond the glossy brochures to the actual field performance. The A 12 hybrid from NPO Galaktika is designed for those who prioritize intensive protection technologies and consistent oil yield. From a manager's perspective, this hybrid balances robust growth with simplified weed control.

Herbicidal tolerance

The standout feature of this hybrid is its resistance to imidazolinone herbicides. Implementing the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) technology is straightforward here: the crop maintains vigorous growth immediately after application, which is crucial during the early stages when weed pressure is at its peak.

Harvesting and economic efficiency

With an oil content of 45-50%, A 12 provides a competitive edge when delivering to grain elevators. There are no quality penalties, and the consistent oil output makes it a preferred choice for processors. During the harvest, the uniformity of the heads is a significant advantage. The combine operator can maintain a steady speed without frequent adjustments, keeping harvesting losses to an absolute minimum and ensuring the grain is clean and ready for storage.

• Excellent tolerance to Euro-Lightning herbicide technology.
• High, stable oil content meeting international standards.
• Even maturation and structural consistency for optimized machine harvesting.

In practice, this hybrid is predictable and responsive to standard fertilizer programs. It is a reliable asset for any operation looking to maximize profit without unnecessary complexity. NPO Galaktika has developed a product that performs exactly as promised in the field.
