Soybean Volunteer

Consistent Yields in Challenging Conditions

The «Volonterka» soybean variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is designed for farms prioritizing operational efficiency and reliable results. With a vegetation period of 105–110 days, this variety fits perfectly into typical crop rotations, allowing farmers to complete the harvest before the onset of autumn rain, thus preserving grain quality.

Harvesting Efficiency

A major bottleneck in soybean production is harvest loss. «Volonterka» addresses this with an average lower pod attachment height of 12–15 cm. For field operators, this means a clean harvest with fewer losses, significantly reducing the downtime associated with equipment calibration and minimizing soil contamination in the grain tank.

Economic Value and Performance

• Protein Content: With a protein level of 40–42%, this variety meets the high standards required by global export and domestic processing markets.
• Oil Quality: An oil content of 20–22% ensures consistent demand from oil extraction plants.
• Growth Habit: Reaching a height of 85–105 cm, the plants create enough canopy to suppress weeds during early growth stages, while remaining sturdy against lodging.

In field practice, «Volonterka» proves to be an adaptable variety suited for various soil types across Ukraine. It is an excellent choice for modern farm management, where the balance between high protein output and mechanical harvest efficiency is key to profitability. This is a practical solution for producers who value consistency and ease of cultivation.
